Touma Gong
2019
Touma Gong is a key asset from one of my earliest 3D projects at university, where I created a Japanese inspired temple in Unreal Engine 4. This project inspired me to pursue environment design in games and I began to explore new methods in asset creation.
Although the initial aim was to create the asset for real time rendering, I found the gong to be too high poly and lacking the appropriate optimisation for a game engine. However I still liked the concept so I decided to re-texture it in substance painter and post the results.
